Mattoon police arrest a man for threatening to shoot another person.
Police say 50-year-old Ronald Newkirk is charged with criminal damage to property, assault, and obstructing a police officer after an incident November 29th in the 3000 block of Pine Avenue.
They say Newkirk also refused to cooperate with authorities at the police department.
A court hearing for Newkirk is pending.
