They've flipped the switch on a popular holiday light display in Coles County.
Thursday was the walk-through night at Mattoon Lightworks in Peterson Park.
The annual display featuring thousands of lights and animated structures will open to vehicles Friday night and continue through the holiday season.
Local churches will host a live nativity each Friday night in the park.
Officials say the event draws more than 15,000 visitors each year.
