At an upcoming city council meeting the city of Champaign will consider approving a $70,000 settlement to a lawsuit.
Officials say the lawsuit, filed by Kisica Seets, is against the city and four police officers.
The proposed settlement would release all claims against the city and three of the four officers involved.
Officials say in her lawsuit Seets claims when she was arrested on April 11, 2014, a Champaign officer used excessive force against her.
Seets also claims the other officers didn't try to stop the use of force.
Officials say both parties agreed to this and the meeting is scheduled for February 2nd.
