A local city council will decide if local bars should continue to stay open later.
Charleston City Council members say a temporary liquor ordinance allowing bars to serve alcohol until 2 a.m. hasn't caused problems.
The trial period for extended hours started in January was supposed to end August 1st, but due to Mayor Larry Rennel's passing, it was extended to October 1st.
The City Council meets on the topic tonight at 6:30 in city hall.
