The court will not reconsider the sentence of a convicted killer.
This morning the court denied the motion to re-consider the sentence of Larry Steeples.
Records show the circuit clerk was ordered to file a motion of appeal.
There is no date yet for when it will be heard.
Steeples was found guilty of murdering his former girlfriend Gina Giberson.
Police say Steeples shot and killed her in her Charleston home last April.
A fitness hearing was held in March and determined even though he was mentally ill he was fit to stand trial.
