A federal grand jury has indicted a 23-year-old Decatur man in the death of a woman who authorities say served as a driver in a robbery he participated in.
U.S. Attorney James A. Lewis' office says the grand jury indicted Kelton Snyder of Decatur on Thursday.
Charges against him include murder and committing a robbery in interference with commerce.
The indictment alleges Snyder and another man robbed a Decatur convenience store April 3rd, with Paige Mars of Decatur serving as the driver.
According to the indictment, conspirators talked about the possibility that Mars might tell authorities, and then killed her April 5th.
Lewis' office says Snyder had been charged in Macon County and is in custody of the U.S. Marshals Service.
A date for an arraignment in Urbana federal court has not been set.
