A local sheriff's department adds another four legged member to their team.
The Coles County Sheriff's Department says they'll be adding a second police K-9 team, along with a new full service S-U-V.
Coles County Sheriff, James Rankin, says the department's K-9 program has been limited to just narcotic detection, but with the addition of a full-service K-9 team, it'll expand the department's capabilities.
Rankin says the new team will be attending the Top Dog Police K-9 Training Academy in Evansville, Indiana, and will take to the field this fall.
