A turn down the wrong road could cost you a little bit more in one local county.
The Shelby County Board voted 11 to 8 on March 9th, to approve an ordinance that will allow the Dive Team to charge $1,000 for certain types of rescues.
Officials say the charges will be put in place due to the high cost of maintaining and replacing equipment.
Dive Team Commander Austin Pritchard says their ability to charge does not affect accident victims.
Officials say the charges are in place for people who purposely ignore closed or flooded roads.
