With little money from the state, one local community college is selling some of their property in Mattoon.
Lake Land College Director of Communications and Creative Services Kelly Allee says the Board of Trustees voted Monday to sell their property at Richmond Avenue East and Holiday Drive for nearly $2 million to an Indianapolis company.
She says the 68,000 sq. ft. building and 5 acre lot holds the college's Workforce Development Center along with a Dollar General and two other businesses.
Lake Land College plans to rent out a portion of the building to continue to housing their Workforce Development Center.
